Natalie Cole

06.07.2003

Live at Auditorium Stravinski

Like the daughter of King Elvis, Natalie, the daughter of King Cole, who passed away in 1965, battled against dragons and demons for a long time before finding her raison d'être. Putting the years of rough time behind her in 1992, thanks to phenomenal success of her album Unforgettable on which the magic of technology and of arranger Tommy LiPuma enabled her to sing duos with her dead father. Natalie Cole, aged 53, effortlessly assumes the legacy of that gentle timbre, those soft, sparkling inflexions and soaring swing. Now closer to the paternal register, Natalie has not finished revealing the scope of her immense talent, demonstrated on Ask A Woman Who Knows, her latest record, released on Verve and produced by Tommy LiPuma.
