Brother Ali, a member of teh Rhymesayers stable, which notably includes Blueprint, Grayskul, MF Doom and Atmosphere, is one of those rappers with a multitude of talents. This MC, who's capable of composing rhymes and music, with an equally solid performance on stage or in battles, decided his prose. he only really feels relaxed when he's holding a microphone. he did 63 performances in a row in 71 days with Atmosphere. A new album produced by Ant (Atmosphere) should be coming out this year. (FFJM © 2006)

This pseudonym hides one of the most interesting US-made rap duos - rapper Slug and producer Ant. They epitomise the best of the underground scene. based in Mineapolis, Slug and Ant have a rap style that's straighforward and sincere with a strong delivery. Slug, with a black father and a white mother, has known how to make the most of his origins so that with Ant they make up an eclectic duo, distant from the gangsta style.
